About us

A private Jordanian company at the heart of Aqaba Port, working in customs clearance and logistics for over a decade.

Where we started

Noah Logistics was established over a decade ago as a private company at the heart of Aqaba Port — Jordan's only seaport. We provide customs services for every category of goods permitted into the local market, and for everything permitted for export.

Over time our presence extended from Aqaba to five further customs points, so that a client's shipment can be followed whichever point it entered through.

How we work

The rule we build on is simple: a file audited before filing passes first time. Most of the delay importers complain about does not originate at customs. It originates in an imprecise goods description, a certificate of origin missing an attestation, or a regulatory approval nobody knew was required until the cargo had landed.

So we start with the documents. We read them, correct what can be corrected, and tell you what is missing while you can still ask your supplier for it — not after the goods are sitting in the yard and the charges have started.

What we don't claim

We do not describe ourselves as "customs-approved", and we do not quote a duty rate as a final ruling. Customs decisions are issued by the Jordan Customs Department alone. Our role is to prepare your file so there is no reason to reject it, and to explain what is happening at each step in language you can act on.

Nor do we promise a duration before reading your documents, and we do not talk about "expediting" or getting a procedure through by connections. What a document can fix, we fix; what it cannot, we tell you plainly rather than leaving you waiting.

Who we work for

Our clients fall into three groups, and each one's file works differently:

  • Importers and traders — containers and bulk cargo entering at Aqaba, usually bound for Amman and its industrial suburbs. For them what matters most is tying transport to the release date so storage charges never accumulate.
  • Manufacturers — bringing raw materials and machinery in under temporary admission on the ITAS system. For them the file is not a shipment but a running account that has to be closed by production.
  • Online stores and express carriersmany small parcels rather than one container, handled at the Al-Muqabalein centre under quite different rules.

What we actually provide

Six connected services: customs clearance for imports and exports, transit for cargo passing through, land and inland transport, warehousing and storage, packing and wrapping, and integrated logistics when all of them are wanted in a single file.

Alongside them sit two specialisms not every broker handles: devanning and clearance inside the Aqaba Special Economic Zone with its separate rules, and hands-on experience with the ITAS system for manufacturers.

The authorities we deal with

Alongside the Jordan Customs Department, we pursue approvals with the regulators goods fall under by type: the Food and Drug Administration, Standards and Metrology, the Ministry of Agriculture, Civil Defence, Public Security and Military Security. Identifying the relevant body from the goods description — before the shipment arrives — is what saves importers the most days.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How long have you been operating?
Noah Logistics was established over a decade ago. It is a privately owned Jordanian company based inside Aqaba Port, and its presence has since extended to six Jordanian customs points.
Are you customs-approved brokers?
We operate as customs brokers under the established rules, but we avoid describing ourselves as officially approved, because that phrasing implies a status not granted in those terms. Customs decisions are issued by the Jordan Customs Department alone; our role is to prepare your file so there is no reason to reject it.
What sets you apart from another brokerage?
Three practical things: our office is inside Aqaba Port itself rather than another city, so inspection and document requests are handled the same day; clearance, transport and storage sit in one file, so the carrier is booked against the expected release date rather than after it; and we have experience in two areas not every office handles — the Special Economic Zone, and the ITAS system for manufacturers.

Send us the documents — we'll tell you what's missing

We read the invoice, certificate of origin and bill of lading, and tell you what will stop your shipment before it arrives — not after it is sitting in the yard. No obligation.
