How goods reach Amman in the first place

Amman is not a sea entry point. Goods enter the Kingdom through their own point — usually Aqaba Port, or Queen Alia Airport, or one of the land crossings — and are then moved under customs control to an inland customs centre east of Amman to be cleared there.

That centre — Amman Al-Madouna Customs — is one of the six points we operate at. It is not a border crossing but an inland centre, and its single advantage is that it sits close to where the goods are actually going: the warehouses of Amman, Zarqa and Sahab and the industrial areas around them.

When clearing near Amman is cheaper

• When your warehouse or your customer is in Amman, Zarqa or Sahab — which saves an entire leg between Aqaba and your destination
• When the goods need devanning and counting near their destination rather than at the port
• When you want delivery in batches from a nearby warehouse instead of one large movement
• When the shipment is a full container bound for the north — moving it sealed costs less than devanning it in the south

And when it is not

We say this plainly because it concerns your interest rather than ours:

• If the goods are bound for the south or for Aqaba itself, clearing at the port is shorter and cheaper
• If the shipment is passing through to another country, the route is transit, not inland clearance
• If the goods need a regulatory approval completed at the entry point, moving them first adds a step rather than saving one
• And on a small shipment, the extra leg can swallow any saving

We work it out with you before you decide, and tell you plainly if clearing at the entry point is cheaper for your shipment.

What we handle

• Document audit and deciding the tariff heading before arrival
• Arranging movement under customs control from the entry point to the inland centre
• Filing the declaration, following the audit, attending inspection and completing release
• Transport from the centre to your warehouse or your customer's door, or storage with us and delivery in batches

A note about the express mail centre
