Why clearance stalls

Delay doesn't start at customs — it starts on the invoice

What holds a shipment in Jordan is rarely congestion at the border. It is a missing document, a goods description that doesn't match the tariff heading, or a prior approval nobody knew was required until the cargo had already arrived.

So we start with the paperwork, not the declaration: we read the invoice, the certificate of origin and the bill of lading before anything is filed, and tell you what needs correcting while it can still be corrected.

Read how we run a clearance file

  • Goods description matched to the tariff heading before filing
  • Certificate of origin and its attestations verified
  • Prior approvals identified by goods type
  • Packing list reconciled against the invoice
  • Inspection attended and valuation followed at the customs point
  • A complete copy of the shipment file handed over after release
How a file moves

Six steps — and you always know which one you're on

Documents received

Invoice, certificate of origin, bill of lading and packing list — reviewed before anything else happens.

Audit and classification

Description, tariff heading and origin reconciled, and any prior approval requirement identified.

Prior approvals

The relevant regulatory bodies are engaged before the declaration is filed.

Declaration filed

The declaration is entered and followed with the relevant desk at the customs point.

Inspection and valuation

We attend the inspection, follow the valuation and answer any query raised.

Release and delivery

Release completed, cargo loaded and moved to the warehouse or the customer's door.

Where we are

Six customs points — with our own people at each

The difference between following a file from an office and following it from inside the customs point shows up on the day an extra document is demanded.

Two areas not every clearance office handles

The economic zone has its own rules; factories have their own system. Both need someone who has actually worked in them.

Aqaba Special Economic Zone

Devanning and customs clearance inside the Special Economic Zone itself — under its own rules and procedures, which differ from the rest of the Kingdom. Our head office is inside it.

ITAS for manufacturers

Hands-on experience with ITAS, the temporary-admission system factories use for raw materials and machinery — entries, drawdowns and balance follow-up.

Why Noah

Six practical reasons

Audit before filing

Every document is checked before the declaration goes in. Amending after filing is the most expensive delay in clearance.

Present at the point itself

Our people are at the customs point, not following it from a distant office.

Prior approvals

We deal with the regulatory bodies whose approval is required before release.

Tracking you can act on

You know where your declaration stands and what it still needs, without chasing us.

One owner per file

A single point of contact from receipt through to delivery.

A straight answer on cost

We set out the cost items before we start, with no surprises at the end.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Which customs points do you work at?
Six: Aqaba Customs (head office), Queen Alia International Airport Customs, the E-Commerce and Express Mail Centre in Al-Muqabalein, the Zarqa Free Zone, Al-Omari Customs and Al-Madouna Customs.
Do you move the cargo after release?
Yes. We have a carrier network that moves the shipment from the port or crossing to your warehouse or your customer's door, and we can store it for you if you prefer.
Do you handle e-commerce parcels?
Yes — we have an office at the E-Commerce and Express Mail Centre, the facility dedicated to that type of shipment.

Send us the documents — we'll tell you what's missing

We read the invoice, certificate of origin and bill of lading, and tell you what will stop your shipment before it arrives — not after it is sitting in the yard. No obligation.
